With a focal height of 41 meters, the lighthouse of Antipaxos was opened in 1906. It is located at the SE end of Antipaxos Cape named Novara or Ovoros. It helps signaling hazardous reefs located off the cape. Energy source of the oil. During World War II it was left in disuse like the majority of lighthouses in Greece. In 1987 the lighthouse was electrified and consequently in 1992 fully automated . Its characteristic is a white gleam with three red per 6” and 12 nm luminescence.
The lighthouse has a square tower with a height of 7.2 meters, as well as a house for the lighthouse keeper.
