Korakiana National Gallery

Brief Description

Corfu National Gallery branch in Kato Korakiana, was launched in 1993 and is housed in two renovated historic buildings, Castellina and Castelletto. The permanent exhibition displays Greek works of art from the early post-Byzantine period until the modern creations of the last decades.
Among the 150 selected works of art that visitors can admire are paintings of Yiannis Moralis, Panagiotis Tetsis, Alekos Fasianos and other local artists connected to the traditions of the island. In addition, the important work of El Greco “The crucifixion”, is located on the ground floor.
